Here is somethin I wrote about them in another post...

Ive got about 15000 on my bfg mudders, theres prolly another 8-10 left. I hate those danged tires sooooo bad! I cant seem to keep them balanced. I draw the line at 3 balancings 3 different places (weights, and 2 types of internal sand stuff) none work and ive had to realign the truck twice, number 3 is comin here real soon They can get so bad I swear Ive gotten a case of the dodge death wobble. Typically the problem speed range is right at 55 the wonderful speed limit here in ohio. They seem to be wearin ok, I rotate them every 1000 or so to try to offset the balancing issues. They make tons of road noise and they ride crappy as all get out. They were great for about the first 10000 miles but they have been gettin progressively worse ever since. I take care of my tires so I have no clue whats the deal w/ them. All the tire guys areound here dont know either. Others on here say there great but my experience has been poor at best. Personally im debatin right now between the cooper discoverer stt's and toyo open country m/t's. Ill be glad to get rid of em. Hope this helps!!

Bet you have a slipped belt . Why wasnt the warranty honored ? Any tire will
slip a belt if you keep it at max pressure,(first time you hit a good pothole.)
Did you ever jack it up ,free spin it and see if it/they are out of round?

Ill go out and try the spinning technique, that sounds like a good idea. If there is a slipped belt the tire places around here didnt catch it, there are only a few bfg dealers, and none see anything wrong, and then they are pretty baffled when they go and ride w/ me they claim it s the truck. Ive swapped the tires and it quits so its not the truck IMHO, plus ford agrees w/ me that its the tires. So basically, I wont ever deal w/ bfg again b/c of these crappy dealers. NO that you say that I do beleive that there is a slipped belt like you say, but its kinda crazy that all of the tires are doin it, but some are worse than others. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!!!!! I may go after the dealers and tell em the check the belts. Do you know what the warranty is for those tires?

THANKS!!!!!!

Like Pat said, the Pro comps are very good and a good price 4 for the price of three. I have the pro comp extreme A/t s and had no problems at all They are a very aggressive at only come in black wall though the mt s come in white letter. 40000 mile life expectancy on the at just some other option but if your stuck on one of the two the toyo has been out on the road longer than the stt seen a few stt that looked pretty worn on heavier trucks.

Warranty...well I would hold them to the first time you reported the problem...suggest that if they choose that as the proration point ,you will not pursue expenses and aggravation of not finding the problem during the first visit.
Many people I have known, insist on using the max pressure listed on the tire ,as opposed to the sticker on the vehicle. One good impact is often enough to raise the tire pressure and deform the tire.I have done it myself. Make sure your tires match the load rating when you take it in. In the course of driving 35 years...I have learned that so much of vehicle satisfaction often goes out the door because of dealers failing to cure a problem...this applies to ALL of them. With some its especially hard cuz you cant even find a local dealer to bi*** at!!!!!

This maybe a litle late but the Nitto Mud Grapplers are a very good tire, but very aggresive so they will be louder. They make a 35 in 18 inch rim.

Thats what I have now, very happy with them. Someone earlier mentioned BFG Mud's, had those for a little while, they seemed really quiet for such an aggressive tread, the ride was nice too.

I bought the Pro- Comp X-treme MT's 35" and they r great Balanced easy( w/ beads) and make some noise. But if you want a mud tire and own a PSD your not concerned about noise

I have the Toyo's but had the BFG mud terrains before, and absolutley love that tire. I'm not having any issues with the toyos, I just really like the way my truck performed with the BFG's in my opinion, I think the BFG's look more aggressive as well, which I like. I plan on putting these Toyos through the ringer and see how they do. I just may go back to my BFG's.
