I got an EX for a daily driver. That being said no kids and not married by the grace of God the EX would think it be a great family car. This is my everyday driver so when I say this thats the reason. I would rather have the pickup truck...the ex is a flying brick and a good dieting tool when you can only park it miles away from any place you wanna go in.

I had the same problem as you when I went to buy. I was inches away from buying an Ex, but in the end I bought a 250. I really needed the truck more because of work. I really like the Ex's though. We are more than likely going to buy my wife one for her next car. With a PSD of course.

I see lawn work in your future, a P/U works better than a EX. Both are excellent choices.

If you go with the F-250 I would make sure that a rear facing child seat is going to set right in the back seat just as a reminder safety first for the new one.

That is a tough choice. They are both great vehicles. I personally like my CC 250 but I would drive the Ex also. You cannot go wrong with either choice. Good luck in your decision making and congrats on the little one.

Based off the family hauler comment... we haul 3 boys, 4 dogs and still pull our camper all at the same time. Can't go wrong with either, but we chose our Ex because we could put everyone in the cab with us.

I wish they made an excursion with a decent romoveable rear roof...similar to what the full size bronco used to offer.
Think of the plusses. Diesel engine, decent towing capability, open air cruising possible like a cycle or jeep, verticle storage capacity like a pickup, legal to carry people in the back seats in it,yet you can put the roof back on when its time to have lockable storage and weather protection.

Hopefully I can find an Excursion for a decent price, if not it looks like I will have to wait. I might be getting out of the military when my enlistment is up and if I do I need to get rid of some bills.
