2009 F550 6.4 Diesel with constant water in the fuel
Hey guys hows it going? I'm a long time powerstroke owner but new to your site! My uncle has a 2009 F550 with a 6.4 in it. The truck has a constant problem with large amounts of water in the fuel. Since Feb. 2011 it has been to the dealer three times for this. The first time the dealer drained the system and charged him $1000. The second time, shortly thereafter they drained the system, put all new fuel lines, all new injectors and charged him $10,000. That's right, $10,000 and told him to change the fuel filter often. He has changed the filter 5 times since then and everytime there is a ton of water in the filter housing. Dealer refusing to look further into the matter and told him to buy diesel somewhere else. He owns a business and run numerous other diesels and fills them at the same place. Those don't have any problems at all. It's almost like rain water is getting in the tank. Any help would be appreciated greatly! Thanks guys!
