2006 F-250 questions?

Hello,

First post. I own a small machine shop, have used my 1990 F-150 for pu of materials for a few years, time to expand. I can afford about 15k (+_), want a diesel, auto, 4x4, crew cab. It looks like that makes it where I will be getting a 2006 per Ebay prices. Will not get Dodge or GM because of Bo and his minions, really respect Ford for having their **** together and not needing any of our money.

What should I look out for, be aware of? What kind of mpg can I expect (currently 17-18 with the 150). Is there a dealer that really stands out? What is a good idea to replace immediately, what kind of mile life can I expect? Am I wrong for looking at the 2006, should a little more be spent for a newer truck?

Currently in Florida but will be using truck for expanding a shop in Salida, Colorado (cold winters), what can I expect to make it freeze proof.

I know it is allot, but any info will be appreciated.

Tks, Ed

The best thing you can do is get the VIN and have a dealer run ya an OASIS report for that truck. Also inspect the degas bottle and look for white powder/crust with would be indicitive of puking... It's hard to tell what's really up as to wether it was tuned raced or whatever but best of luck to ya!!
