I have a couple of concerns I am wondering if anyone can advise me on. I own a 2008 F350 6.4L diesel with auto trans. When pulling our camper and leaving from a stop the truck seems to shudder for the first few seconds. It does not shudder once moving or shifting gears.

Second, when indicator displays "cleaning exhaust filter" the engine seems to lose some power as well as the tone of the exhaust changes during cleaning to a tinny sound. I am wondering if these two concerns are normal operation as this is my first diesel.
