Not too bad at all! I'm still playing and will make some changes today (re-tune, etc. - just messing around). It's not my product I just saw how the 7.3 guys were talking about how great it was so I figured I'd get a 6.0 perspective. You can get more info on it from Bill - "dfuser" on our forum or go by http://www.dfuser.com. I've spoken with Bill a couple times on the phone about it and he's been a great help. I'll be doing a write up on it here soon to let everyone know how it works and all. Heck you two ought to hook up.

If would say you should try one of the Innovative Diesel Custom Tuners we sell. I have one for my 05 and its far better than any shelf tuner you can buy. We are having a big sale until friday night. The Bullydog is a great tuner, but the extra power and trans tuning of a custom is a big seat of the pants differance.

If this is something you would be interested in give us a call and we can setup the specifics as to what you want out of it. They are more money than your standard tuner, but it will out perform them.

My 2 cents, FWIW, my vote is for...

SCT XCalibrator 2 with Innovative Diesel tunes (courtesy of Discount Power Parts)

Spent a lot of time e-mailing, talking on the phone and otherwise borderline harassing Larry @ Discount Power Parts. I wanted to take advantage of their recent holiday sale and both Larry and Patrick were extraordinarily helpful.

I have a Superchips Flashpaq for my '05 Dodge Magnum R/T RWD Hemi. Very long story short, one return to stock flash prior to dealer service turned into a no-start and week and half stay at the dealership. Much thanks and respect to Superchips for (1) talking my dealership and DCX through the repair/re-flash and (2) paying for it. I use it with 100% confidence, and favor their features and adjustability over anything else currently available.

I have a standard Superchips tuner for my '03 Navigator, 5.4 3V gasser. It's worked well to and needed to be sent back to Superchips once after the dealer did a re-flash and rendered it useless. That only cost me a few bucks ($15 I think).

Trying my best to maintain the warranty (and you never know how that goes until's there's a problem. First thing out of my dealer's mouth on the Flashpaq no start on my Magnum was "This is on you!" Kind of hard to argue otherwise, and it wouldn't take a flash back to stock (that's what killed the TCM to begin with) so it's not like I could hide anything if I wanted to anyway) on my Excursion, so removing the tune and reflashing back to stock was a critical consideration. Most add on devices (Bully Dog, etc.) are un-installable, but no where easy as plugging into the OBD port. I really couldn't care less about on the fly adjustability, so that wasn't a big deal to me either. The fact that SCT is USB/internet updatable is also pretty attractive.

Long story short, I got the Innovative Diesel Street Tune installed now and it's monsterous! Being in a college town we have our share of ricers and they've already started choking on that sweet black soot that pours outta the tail pipe when I get on it. Most folks can't believe a 7K truck can be anywhere near that quick, especially one of those smelly, smoking, funny sounding diesel trucks.

I'm still trying to figure out if the whistling noise is my turbo, or the paint coming off the ricers' cars as I ed-u-ma-cate them!

PSD rules, ricers drool...
