I'll be installing my BD turbo timer shortly. This is my first diesel turbo, but not my first turbo, and with the extended drive times and towing I'm planning on doing, I figure it's a little cheap insurance to make sure it cools down properly.

I'm also looking at a external tranny filter, oil bypass filter and coolant filter system too just for even more insurance, I plan on keeping mine for a while!

Would've saved the money on the alarm system too.....

I use the remote start/run feature on the alarm system... Works great plus you can set the amount of run time you want all the way up to 60 minutes.

Ken....

My TST PowerMax I just bought has a turbo timer. I usually shut down around 325 or so....I don't get my panties all bunched up over shutting down over 300.

It just enables you to remove your key but leave the truck running. It will shut off once the exhaust temperature reaches the set temperature. Some guys think they're necessary, others know that they aren't necessary ALL the time.
