Whats the best oil for the money?? If you choose synthetic or other, please list with reply!! This is for 15-W40. Thanks kindly

I been using Delo 400 15/40 for 30 years i go through 55 gl every 6 month, it get delivered to the ranch.I use it in all my diesel motors and have never had a problem with it.I call it out here preventive maintenance is the name of the game .All my diesel motors get at every 100 hrs PSD gets it at 4 to5k .FAITHFULLY on all my equipment.

Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40 or Mobil1 5w40 synthetic. John Deere oil is (or was) refined by Shell

I run Rotella 5 w 40 full syntec all year round. I get better fuel milage and it last longer than none syntec. I put 3k a week on my truck and thats pulling very heavy loads. I try others and i like R the best.

If nothing else that I've learned in my 34 years of driving and maintaining a vehicle is that the manufacturers do massive amounts of research on lubricants, fluids and many other aspects of automotive engineering...

Other then the fact that I bought the maintenance package, I would say there is nothing wrong at all with the Motorcraft stuff that is put in at the factory and everytime I take it in for service...

And lets face it, the manufacturers of the "third party" oils are easily as good as any other.. The vehicle manufacturer uses one or more of these third party oil manufacturers to make/package their own product....
