My point in saying that was that the mantra of Obama's change has infected every state in the union to some degree, even texas.

I think your grandfather would understand this is about freedom and saving the US, not destroying it. If we have to secede to peacefully get our point across then that's what we will have to do.

we have an oppurtunity next year and in 2012 to start things back on the right track, and in my opinion, get them on track the right way. By voting out those who are destroying this nation, and voting in those who will return this country to what it was meant ot be, a balnce of opinions and ideas. IMO, a secession will not br greeted peacefully.

Good point! I have noticed it too. I volunteer for an organization that also attracts a bunch of young, college students as volunteers also. Most of their political views are astonishingly liberal. Where is all of that coming from, MTV? Cartoons? School? It's crazy. I actually had a couple confront me when I criticized Obama's plan to redistribute wealth They were shocked and angry that I was against it The worst part about it is these are Texas students going to A&M Corpus Christi

This is all getting scary.

Texas has less of a need to have a military most of us are armed to the teeth.... Also given that texas operates off a flat tax for its government and the fact that we have oil, agriculture infastructure and well a gulf of mexico I think you are really un educated on how profitable texas could be given we succeed. The only problem texas would have is the us trying to keep us from leaving as a state we are well in the black financially and we are a large portion of the us economy... They wouldn't want to lose a good thing. If california or new york wanted to succede they would probably help them!
