Anybody else noticed......

I have been seeing and hearing commercials, and saw a special on Hannity about survival skills for the unpredictable, like storms, terrorism, civil unrest, etc. Hannity's special was about talking to people in NYC that were "survivalists", storing things vital to life, such food, water, medical supplies etc. They never said anything about having guns to protect their cache's.

I wonder who is behind these, it seems strange to me, like somebody with deep pockets, is trying to warn us of something coming to our way of life

Any thoughts, and have you heard anything like this in your home town?

Something's happening; I'm ready. Gun Show was pitiful here in NC, but I got what I needed and am now confident in my ability to protect me and mine till I am 80.

Glenn Beck has been warning people to prepare for a couple of years. We have been setting aside water, water filter, food, ammo, etc.......Hopefully none of us need to use the supplies.

We should all hope for that,but I feel that the further the gov pushes us, the hotter the flame gets

I have enough goodies to get us through for at least 6 months, and that doesn't include taking game for us to eat, or my planned deer hunting trip in November to Nebraska

I haven't hunted in over 5 years , and even when I did, I'd always consider it, short hikes, with a gun

I'll have to start looking for these ads, commercials, whatever they are. I'll be good to go for a while IF I can get 200 miles south with all the ammo. I'm thinking the hiways may not be safe for those right wing extremists clinging to their guns and religion.

ive heard a bunch of these, survival seed bank, emergency radio, blah blah blah. i think your looking a little too far into it wondering if its someone trying to warn us, but i definitely am with you on the stocking up vital supplies and being prepared for the worst, be it civil unrest, civil war, or a big *** snow storm haha.

i really started hearing them after everyone made a federal case out of katrina. its not a warning like someone KNOWS something is going to happen and is trying to warn us by selling us ****ty battery powered radios and bags of seeds haha. however i do think they are trying to make a buck off everyones paranoia. i was reading the other day that something like 25% of "minorities" in inner cities are unemployed right now and at this rate the gov't is expecting civil unrest by summer especially if there is a another gas price inflation. its stuff like that that is making people stock up and be prepared for the worst. i say let it happen, maybe it will wake this country up some.
