Can't Park on Gravel

Ok I am glad I do not live south of my state line.

The City of Toledo Ohio, handed out parking tickets to citizens who were parked on gravel pads on there OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY. Yes you heard me right it was PRIVATE PROPERTY.

If this happened where I live I would laugh at the person. Then charge the person with tresspassing. Because they have no legal grounds to be on my property. Reason being I looked it up there is no city ordinace against having a gravel driveway.

I love how the city mayor did not comment when asked if this was because of the city budget crisis.

Wow that is just dumb. I would have a real officer show up and charge the ticket writer with tresspassing. What a freakin joke. Its private property

I would love to hear from our Ohio Members on this. I know we have at least one that lives in this area.

I even know that there are two metro parks with gravel parking lots.

Hey the residents of Toledo voted him in for another term last election. Maybe this time they will be smarter.

the real gem is that the city of toledo's own impound lot is all stone, so everything that they impound or have impounded over the last 100 years is parked on stone and in violation!

Where is the common sense in this country????

What did they say is a reason your not allowed to park on stone? What the hell is wrong with parking on your own private stone. I would park in my own private mudpit and tell them to shove it up their azzes

"Ms. Frederick declined to comment yesterday but Mayor Carty Finkbeiner called her a hero for the city.

On Monday, the mayor said he would stand by the citations handed out last week. During a news conference, Mr. Finkbeiner refused to answer reporters' questions about whether the crackdown and fines were related to the city's budget crisis."

This has to be a joke.

"My son asked her for identification and she wouldn't produce it," he said.

"My neighbor next to me asked her to move her car off his driveway and she said she didn't have to because she is a city employee and can go anywhere she wants on [his] property."

(Talking about the chick that issued the tickets)
