I think that was a little excessive. He could have easily slapped the cuffs on her without tazing her but she obviously was resisting. I'm siding with the officer on this one.

Sure he could have used other tatics. How ever to prevent injury to himself and her. He choosed to tase her. Which is the most effective and it prevents injury to her and himself. If he wrestled with her, she could have ended up with broken arm or some other type of injury. Which then she would be claiming police brutality.
I side with the officer on this as well. I think he took the best action. |

We have been debating in here at work.
I'm with the cop, could he have arrested her without it? I'm sure, but it wouldn't have been near as funny! Sorry guys, work gives me a sick sense of humour! It does seem very Texas like! I'm going to move there after my boys are out of school, one down, one to go! My retirement plan: Shootin Armadillos and Tazin Granny! LMAO |

I started laughing at this, this AM and my wife asked what I was laughing at and I told her that her husband probably saw this and said she has been deserving that for 50 yrs. She then told me about a comedian who went up to his grandfather and asked what was his secret for staying married to one woman for so long and his reply was, " I never owned a gun."

She is a customer of mine. I don't really know her except by sight. Where she is from, down the road, is some of the finest collection of White Trash you will ever find. She was also speeding on a stretch of road about 40 miles from Marble Falls to Austin that has claimed about 25 lives in accidents in the last year or so. It swarms with cops 24/7. Not a good place to speed, and with no shoulder, a poor choice of places to screw around on the side of the road.

I'm with the cop too. She'd have never been tazed if she'd just signed the ticket and went on her way. BTW I could careless is she's in her 70's and a grandmother.

That was definitely a no-win situation for that cop
![]() He HAD to get control of the situation somehow. Tazing that woman was the safest, easiest way. I sure hope the PC police don't cost him his job
