Where was your question. If you asked one in your posts in this thread I didn't see it. If you have one ask it.

I have a question for you. Why would you refer to the symbol of America as just a piece of cloth. I and many members here go to work everyday to defend that "piece of cloth" with the potential of dying by the hands of our enemies. I can guarantee that it is more than a piece of cloth to us.

The flag maybe made out of cloth. But it is about what that PIECE OF CLOTH REPRESENTS! The Koran is not just a book. Sure it is made out of paper like a book. But to most Muslims it is held with the upmost highest respect.

As true Americans hold the Flag with the UP MOST RESPECT. The Americans that do Respect the Flag. Know what it stands for, have seen the blood shed to protect the rights of the citizens of this country. We have either put a good friend of family member to rest. Because they were fighting to preserve the rights of the citizens of this country.

BTW it is not just towards the American Flag, in most countries at least the ones I have been in. If you fly the flag upside down. It is a sign of duress. It is used by the UN as a uniform sign of duress.

I am not even going to get into this conversation with you. It is not worth to loose my good standings on this website because of you. There for I will bite my tongue and snub my nose towards you while looking you in the eye.

As far as the Flag being under the Mexican Flag that was just a slap in the face of the US government by illegal immigrants and flying it upside down was just further disrespect to this country that they came to illegally. While we are at war we are not under duress from the Military standpoint of the word. We are under duress from a political standpoint but that is a different conversation. What we can do to fix it is vote out every incumbent in the house and the senate. That would show a clear message that the people are tired of not being represented by their government.

Ken how would you feel if you countries flag was flown in a similar situation?

A countries flag is more than a piece of cloth. It is a symbol of respect. Many people have fought and died for their flag.

As far as freedom of speech, yeah you have it. But there still are rules and common courtesies.

If you were in the middle east and stated the koran was just a book I dont think the outcome would be in your favor.

Diplomacy is not my game I work at the pointy end of the spear. I am def a kill them all and let God sort them out kinda person. You kind of have to adopt that mentality when you deal with lobbing nuclear weapons for a living.

GENTS.... I think some of you are missing the point. Even though I do not agree with their actions, it is within their right as humans on this earth to protest. Protesting isn’t and shouldn’t be just an American right. That’s why so many of us have sacrificed so others would have the same blessings of a democracy as we have. These kids/people are learning what it is to be in a democracy and learning expression as our forefathers once did. Again I don’t like the path they chose to express it and I would like to think as they grow older and understand the severity of their statement, they will realize its offending nature.
Let us not forget our great country was founded by immigrants, castaways, criminals, and the laymen... who then became great men, leaders and ultimately our forefathers. I have served this great nation honorably for the past 13yrs and will continue to do so as long as I can. As a soldier I am sworn to protect the rights of democracy
TO ALL THE A$$HOLE, BIGOT, RACIST, FASCIST, on this FORUM that figured this would be a great place to talk about taking human life because a difference of views, RACE and opinion.... UNDERSTAND THIS: IF YOU THREATEN TO TAKE VIOLENT ACTION AGAINST ANYONE EXPRESSING A DEMOCRATIC RIGHT... ESPECIALLY CHILDREN... I WILL DEFEND THEIR RIGHT TO MY DEATH.
So take your BS elsewhere and lets talk about Trucks
