Rights have responsibilities. We need to be responsible when exercising our rights. But we should never give up our rights.

Good point.

Yes I agree with removing handguns altogether, because "I" believe that there is no good use for them. But, am I not allowed to have this opinion with out ridicule? I don't mean to sound odtrusive or contradictory, and I apologize for this. But please allow me to live in my "fantasy" world. Afterall, I'm not a bad guy

I have not ridiculed you. This is a forum. If you state a position (especially an unpopular or contrarian one) expect to be challenged. Furthermore, you state your opinion more as a fact. That is sure to be challenged on this forum. Personal rights and freedoms are precious to us. When you state that a right that we hold dear should be restricted or abolished, we rise up to challenge you.

There is no animosity on my part toward you, but I strongly disagree with your view. I'll try to persuade you to see my point of view until successful, or we agree to disagree and talk about something else (in a different thread), or until I come to believe that you are being disingenuous and are just trying to "stir the pot" with no interest in honest debate.

Back to you!

Hmmm...alright Canuckistanian pot smoking peacnicks..here are the facts as we know them to be..the SCAM known as the uber left wing secular peacenick "long gun registry" was always going to be a "multi-billion" dollar ultra left wing liberal attempt at social engineering once again at tax payers expense and also a vote buyer (just look at the gazzilion dollar call centre built and staffed in of all places the Maratimes-vote buying in a lefty liberal riding). Canuckistan should be broken down from left coast..to the other left coast and by uber elitist hip and cool aka freaky "urban" coridors and the rest..(that is how they view us..bahhh..bahh..sheep). Almost every single political move is made for the benefit of urban areas (that by and large of course vote ultra left wing) I mean look at how many Conservatives are elected in Vancouver..hahhaa..lolol! Gun ownership in Canuckistan is not a big issue by "any" stretch of the imagination other than by our ever present criminal element (which has from the looks of things seen the largest growth in GDP, gun ownership-and illegal usage in the country!). Canada just gorgeous God given beauty (though we have a horrific climate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and staggeringly underpopulated third world country that is probably more anti American (except for conservative Alberta) than Cuba! Draft dodgers, hippies, peacenicks, envirofreaks, metrosexuals, drug addicts, drug dealers, underachieving SLACKERS on ever street corners hanging out right beside the bums and beggers, life long welfare single mothers..the list is endless. If you can think of a freaky special interest group..it is here in Canuckistan..and flourishing with the help of us dumb tax payers..yes Canuckistan..a country of over taxed idiots..I know..I am a Canuckistanian!
This is my analogy..being Canadian is like living in a one room crack addict apt. with a bare flickering light bulb, peeling paint but with a killer view of mountains and ocean..living about the most spectacular gorgeous mansion on earth where there is a party going on 24/7..and I'm not invited! On the other hand now that the US has its only full blown Marxist/socialist dictator..the playing field has been leveled a bit..and I would still trade my passport for an American one in a heart beat!

Man, is it really necessary to continue with the language, you have trashed this thread worse than any I have seen here, and especially when you're referring to people.

If you think about it, it really does nothing to add to the conversation and it ruins your reputation.
