It is really starting to sound like GM can't survive even with more handouts.

Obama will keep handing out our cash and I'm willing to bet that big brother will end up having a majority stake in Chrysler/GM.

Then they will force Ford into following the same guidelines (terms and conditions) that Chrysler/GM will have to follow even though they didn't get the bailout. They'll say that without Ford following the same guidelines, it will be an unfair monopoly.

Ford is already at a disadvantage. GMAC gets a big freebie so they can offer no interest loans and be a little more risky with our coin. Ford has to try to match it with company money. Who knows. I still think Ford will go down if GM and Chrysler do. They are too dependant on each other.

Maybe they can change their logo from a Bowtie & a Ram to a Emblem of Uncle Sam

Ford, which also is trying to restructure amid a severe automotive sales downturn, said Wednesday that it still does not intend to seek federal aid.

Sounds like a good conservative statement to me

A quick question, do any of you know what that lefty Rosevelt did to the fledgling auto industry when he was president..jail for those that didn't do what he wanted, threatened them constantly, attempted to bankrupt them..change..change they couldn't believe even then!
