The so-called "gunshow loophole" is referring to your ability to purchase firearms, specifically handguns, at a gunshow with no instant background check. Since it is essentially a private party sale, there currently is no requirement for the check. Anti-gunners like the Brady Center have been going after this for years.....

I BELIEVE THAT WHEN CLINTON PASSED THE BAN THAT THERE WAS A LOOPHOLE WHERE THEY STILL COULD BE SOLD AND TRADED IN A GUN SHOW, WELL IF IM NOT MISTAKEN THAT IF THEY CLOSE THE GUNSHOW LOOPHOLE THAT THERE WONT BE ANY SELLING OR TRADING OF THE BANNED WEAPONS AT EVEN GUN SHOWS

We have a background check here in TX at gunshows. My buddy even had to go to the guys shop a week later and pick up his SKS because he didn't get approved immediately.
