I hope for the best but fear the worst. Maybe I am just too jaded, I don't know that there is much that can be done to help this country. I base this on a series of surveys out recently, where almost all of the categories had people responding in favor (mid 60's percentile) for the governement to provid for thier needs. The respondants thought that the governement should be responsible for healthcare, job placement, housing, etc......... With this mindset I am not sure what can be done for this country. Our citizens have chosen slavery to the government instead of self-reliance and independence.

So that leaves the rest of us to support those who are like minded. Meeting and getting to know your neighbors, knowing who you can count on, stock piling necessities (food, water, ammo, weapons, fire starting equipment), and as had been said.....situational awareness, watch for rapidly changing events.

I know, I know....alarmist.

As mentioned already, remember the golden rule you were taught or should have been taught: Treat people with the same respect and courtesy, as you would like in return. Help your neighbors as much as you can, talk with them about goings on in the neighborhood, and keep eachother informed. One of my neighbors is a cop that works the swing shift, so he can keep an eye on things during the day, and I do the same at night. Another neighbor is home most of the time, when he's in town, and he keeps an eye on things.

A wave to people around you while your driving through town, or your neighborhood (you may have t use the middle finger with some). Keep your ammo dry, food on the shelves, water on hand, and look out for your fellow man
