Checks and balances are only as good as the populace that elects the representatives into power. In other words, if the populace elects someone who is lax about C&B, C&B gets eroded. The next person is a little less lax, so we lose more C&B.....and so on. Eventually we've 'chosen' our downfall. We don't even have to totally choose our downfall- All that needs to happen is have an opportunist enter the foray. Then its done for.

BTW- I'm not going after you personally, rather the whole mentality that has gotten the country to this point.

I like this thread as long as it stays civil.

I like it when so many have such strong opinions. It's much better with people that know wtf is going on voting then people who know absolutely nothing voting for someone b/c of their skin color or how she looks.

OSOMA won this election due to Politically uneducated America's. People whom relied on Mass media to make their decision, And even that statement is going a little far. Most of the American whom voted for OSOMA, Had no idea what he stands for or what his political idea are. Hell I still don't know what he stands for and I think I have done as much reading as I possibly canThey voted for him becuase he was of diffrent color, Or he SAID he was about change, Or they did not want the old white guy to win.

I believe Jason was pointing out this fact. The popular vote(American) made a bad/uneducated/ban wagon/"Change" decision. There for he was not proud to stand with those people.
I think anyone with some degree of though could put this together
