GDP versus oil consumption
I was looking at the GDP for my state...and happened to notice a fun fact.
Everyone has heard how awful we are about consumption of oil....that we dont have 1/4 of the worlds people (or oil) but we use 1/4 of the oil supply. Ok Now..... GDP of the world - 54,311,608,000,000 bucks GDP of the United States- 13,843,825,000,000 I dont think anyone needs to be a math major to see where this is going. (Dumb math for those who dont want to figure it out.... 13/54 is what? yea..just about 1/4) Just a fun fact for the night. That is all |

Ive heard that before, 3% of the worlds population and 25% oil consumption and although I never looked up any facts on it I told the person who regurgitated it me "its probably because we work harder and have more production industries than the rest of the planet" ha!!!!!!! Doesnt take a rocket scientist, Im sure nowhere close, but it doesnt surprise me that these eco nuts pick just parts of the facts to try to further thier stupidity. Thanks, thats great info.
