Cut Welfare

Ok so any economists in the house. I am tying to find out how much is paid out to welfare people compared to social security. Everyone wants to cut social security. But why not cut welfare instead. Most people that collect social security worked there entire lives. Then they retire and collect social security. In my opinion they earned that money.

But yet people on welfare, most have never worked, most are involved in some type of crime, some have bussiness but do not claim them. Some have jobs but get paid under the table.

So why not cut welfare and add that money to social security fund. I will tell you why there are more voters collecting welfare then social security. That is why you have never heard a canidate running for office say they are going to cutback welfare and not social security.

It only seems like the right thing to do. The people that collect social security worked at least until the age of 62 on average. Then they start collecting around 65. So why should they have to go back to work.

Where as people collecting welfare are capable of working but they are to dang lazy to get a job. Now I am not saying get rid of welfare completely. Because there are those that do need it. How ever if you do not fall under those circumstances you have 1 year to find a legal job and start paying taxes.

Also if you collect welfare you should not be allowed to receive tax returns or tax return incentives like this stimulous check that was issued this year. You did not contribute to that. You just sat around doing things collecting a check every month.

All people on welfare need to be drug tested, that will kick most of them off right away.

It's cheaper to keep the chronic welfare recipients in their subsidized apartments than it is to keep them in jail which is where most of them would be without their check from us. I think we need to make them show up for work (cleaning along the roadside, in parks etc) if they want to get that check.

I think they should also have to pass a drug test to collect welfare.

I have to submit to, and pass, random drug checks, as do all my employees to keep our jobs working for the federal govt.

Why shouldn't people collecting my tax money have to do the same!?

We need welfare to keep some of the SH%^&#DS that collect it children out of the homes. They should be drug tested weekly and have to do some kind of task to collect it(community service, or a part time job).

We need Social Security but there are a ton of people collecting it that do not work and have never worked. I was watching Judge Judy the other day(yes I was bored) and some woman on there said she gets SSI because she has a phobia about meeting people so she can't work. Thats BS, People that have never contributed should not be able to collect.
