Dallas ISD Grading System

Dallas ISD will enact a new grading system.
If the students fail a test, they will be given the opportunity to retest??
Also, if they don't do homework it will not count against them??

This gives a new meaning to "No Child Left Behind".

Don't do your homework, don't worry about failing tests, we are no longer going to educate your kids. Instead we are now tax payer babysitters.

No child left behind; how about keep them all back for the needs of a few. I thought this country was all about capitalism and the ability to excel and make a name and a life for your self. Sounds a little communist to me, or just maybe liberal???

A couple years ago two of my teachers were talking about how stupid the freshman were that year. They could hardly read and write. Apparently one of the junior highs that feed into that high school decided to stop giving homework because the student were too irresponsible and wasteful with paper. I guess the trees are more important than the kids.

I talked to my mother today; she works for the schools in the Denver area. Said the kids are dumb as rocks but man can they work a computer with spell checker!

Wow, school would have been a breeze....... but this is coming from the same system thats logic is, the schools with the highest failure rate get the least amount of money...... so it doesnt surprise me.

This should go under my "One more reason we home school thread" and one more reason I wouldn't let my kids near the DISD. Beyond stupid, horribly corrupt, inept, constant criminal investigations, Fraud, waste, and abuse is the school systems motto. But hey what do you expect with LIBERAL educators?

This will prepare the kiddos for the real world!
