Why is it so hard to interprut what our fore fathers intended. The Bill of Rights was written during the first congress in 1791.

Our Fore Fathers intended that the 2nd Amendment was to protect the citizens of the USA from controling government. Which at any point and time when the citizens felt the need to take control back from the government. They were able to because they have the Right to Bear Arms.

But yet so many organizations that are missinformed about firearms. Always go to the statement. A well organized Militia.

How ever the actual statement of the 2nd Amendment is this

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I am glad to see that the Supreme Court of the United States of America, up held our rights as citizens today.

The 2nd amendment is there so the citizin militia can protect the 1st amendment. Notice that the same Ilk that want to take away the 2nd also do not believe in the 1st?

What disturbs me the most is that the four justices who voted in favor of the gun ban basically called the other five judicial activists. Am I missing something? They said that the 2nd Amendment gives people the right to have guns. I think the Constitution says something about that somewhere....... I don't remember their being an amendment or clause giving the government permission to take guns away. I don't understand liberals.

It's like someone else said in another post. It is SO IMPORTANT that we vote in the CORRECT way due to the fact one or more of the 4 dissenting Justices will be retiring within the next President's term in office.
I understand your frustrations about liberals, it used to bother me too, but now I just laugh at them and say a prayer for them.
They for pete's sake don't even know what they are all about either.
