Nancy Pelosi tabled / shelved the drilling vote on Off-Shore Drilling (OSD) while 67% of Americans say drill for the oil.

What is Bush's response??? Essentially "If you'll vote for it, I'll support it".
Hey George here's a leadership idea..........Try this:

"My fellow Americans the Democrat controlled Congress has continued to block efforts to secure our energy independence, the Republican party has not done its best either. So today I signed an Executive Order lifting the ban on Off-shore Drilling, drilling in ANWAR, and am allowing the States to decide where they choose to drill within their own boundaries. This is in the interest of National Security. Furthermore, the oil recovered from our coasts is to be used solely in th United States and not to be sent any where else in the world, case by case needs will be considered. Thank you, and may God Bless America."

Pretty damn simple. How come average Joe (Craig in this case) can figure this out, but a bunch of Ivy league educated troglodytes can't muster up the nads to implement this?

Sounds like I'll be writing your name in the upcoming presidential election. I am a big conservative and am very upset with everybody in federal politics. The libs never have followed up on all of the promises they ever make. When they became the majority in congress, they made the assertation that they would LOWER oil prices to help the american people. I don't have the slightest clue why their supporters continue to follow a group that says one thing and often does the exact opposite. On the other side of the aisle, the pseudo-republicans aren't even republicans anymore. Republicans are voting with democrats more and more in an effort to become more popular with their voters. Well big news just in, conservatives are fed up with this and you moderate republicans are going to rot our party from the inside out. Thats all I have to say.
