I think that if you chose to get involved in your husband's campaign like she has, anything you say and do becomes fair game. You can't have your cake and eat it too!

She is potentially the first lady of the United States and will be involved in many speeches, events, and participating in various roles as a dignitary. I agree with you. If he doesn't want his wife " ... attacked in a political
campaign" then she shouldn't be making public statements in his political
campaign. If she chooses to be actively involved in his campaign, as
Bill is in Hillary's, then her comments are fair game.
