Obama - "Lay off my wife"

So now Obama is upset that people are attacking his wife for saying that she has not been proud to be an American until her husband ran to be president.

What do you guys think?

I think that if you chose to get involved in your husband's campaign like she has, anything you say and do becomes fair game. You can't have your cake and eat it too!

If she wants to get involved and make speeches on behalf of her husband, then she should be open to scrutiny. She is potentially the first lady of the United States and will be involved in many speeches, events, and participating in various roles as a dignitary. I think the voters have a right to know what kind of a person she is.

I agree with you. If he doesn't want his wife " ... attacked in a political
campaign" then she shouldn't be making public statements in his political
campaign. If she chooses to be actively involved in his campaign, as
Bill is in Hillary's, then her comments are fair game.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say, or don't waste my time.
And be prepared to defend your statements.

the fact that he wants to say leave my wife alone like she is not a part of this "fight" is ridiculous!!

She is as much a part of him and he is of her and probably one of his most influential advisors! Her policies and her beliefs should fall under just as much speculation as his do. And if she says something in a public setting, then it is open to criticism and open to be brought before her and made to answer for it, just lke everybody else. You are not special and you are not off limits, just because you are a girl.
