I wonder if this has any link to another trend I have noticed lately?
Namely everyone seems to be buying up assault rifles and ammo, all my normal suppliers are out of stock and/or back ordered and prices are rising quickly.

I think the prices have alot to do with the steel market going through the roof, I know for the past 2 years here ammo has been steadily climbing

Thanks, wish I could contribute more to the diesel aspect of this site, but my knowledge there is limited so I'll leave that up to others smarter than me.

As far as me running for office..............NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think there are videos of my less responsible party days floating around. I think I'll stick to the role of commentator / agitator.

Also, thanks for chiming in with your own opinions, gives me an opportunity to get a different perspective on topics. Keep em' coming

I don't really know what to say. Simply because I think this problem is intertwined with so many other issues this country is going through that I don't know what would begin to help the situation out.

I just know that if I want to continue to work and do business, I have to pay the price.

One article I read was talking about how the average lower wage worker uses 15 gallons of gas a week or so getting to work and back and minor errands, and that at $9/hr they'd spend 7 hours paying for gas. That's almost 20% of their work week.

These are our leaders.
House speaker asks Bush to stop stockpiling oil - Yahoo! News

I don't understand how 70,000 barrels a day is going to drop fuel prices 5 to 24 cents when we use 21 million barrels a day. Plus every economist already says that the oil prices right now are based on speculation and the weak dollar, not supply and demand.

How about they raise interest rates and encourage people to save their money instead of lowering them encouraging people who don't have money to go further in debt!? It just doesn't make sense to me.

Well Craig,

I'd vote for you or even run with you on your ticket as you VP. We would be the shut the F up and get back to the business of making the USA great again Party......First order of business, clean out all politicians and place recruited members of society into those positions.

By Example, To represent West Texas you would need a Rancher, Oil Worker, laborer, house wife, Small and large business owners that bring along one of thier top paid and lowest paid each. Everyone has an equal vote. Serve your term, get paid, continue to work your other job (like a reservist) and move one on to the next set of none crooks.

Back to the way it originally was, before Congress became a career instead
of a detail!

Hey I am good with this idea. Liberals would be screaming in the streets. Good Lord, if they can't stand Bush I can't imagine what they would think about the two of us.
