What is next?

So my mom is in the hospital again, this time for a pacemaker, I am trying to keep everything in motion. So after a stressful morning convincing the ten year old he needs his time released ritalin, that it is not for his sanity it is for mine, I start to log on to the bank to pay bills. Hmm, not working. Again, and again. It now suggests the account is locked and displays an 800 number. I call it and talk with the support. I ask where they are located and get no answer. I decide to go to the local branch to resolve this.

They are friendly and listen to my problem. They can't fix it and suggest I use the banks phone to resolve problem. So the bank manager can't understand the person on the other end of the line, and she hangs up. She looks at me with THAT look, and she understands the frustration I must be feeling. She calls again and speaks to the foreigner, smiles and hands me the phone. I am now speaking to a person that doesn't really understand the words that are coming out of my mouth with my California accent.

I make nice and ask where they are located, the Philippines, is that a problem for me? (he asks). I just hang up and take the now sedate ten year old to visit grandma in the hospital. She is nasty with the nurses, complaining about the sugar-fruit goo they are serving, as she is also diabetic. She turns to me and suggests that I get her car in for an oil change today or tomarrow, she thinks she will be driving with a pacemaker and her arm in a sling to avoid pulling the cardiac wires out of her heart.

When I get back from this, I try the online banking and it just works...

Well, I'm not in your shoes so I can't say with honesty that I know how you feel. But, I have had bad days before too. Some lasted for months. All I can say is, hang in there. It gets better. And I do believe that things happen for a reason. Trials make us stronger. Sometimes make us more appreciative. Hopefully, they mold us into something more useful for HIS purpose.

My prayers for your mother.
