Condi for VP????

I have been reading on different news sites today about how she is quietly trying to become the nominee for VP on the McCain ticket. From what I know about her and have researched I personally think she would be a fine candidate.

I keep reading where putting her on the ticket would make it a 3rd Bush administration and McCain needs to distance himself from Bush. I don't agree with with this line of thought, she has an independent streak and has not been a yes person to Bush. She has disagreed with Bush but remained a team player.

I think she would end up being our (US) version of a Margaret Thatcher if / when she ended up being Pres in 4 years. She would definitely make it easier for me to vote for McCain.
Anyways, looking for y'alls and opinions on this one.
Craig

I agree with you Craig. I think that Condi would make swallowing the McCain pill a little easier.

I do also think their are lots of people that wouldn't like that simply because she was part of Bush's cabinet. Those are the people that can't think for themselves.

BTW, you catch the Absolut campaign? I will post it in a new thread.

I did, and I have no comment but to shake my head. That ad was apparently supposed to run Latin America only. Whatever. Borders and sovereignty change with wars and declarations of independence. So if the American Southwest should be returned to Mexico, shouldn't Mexico be returned to Spain (Date 1810-1821 Location Mexico (North America) Result Mexican victory; expulsion of the Spanish colonial government and the signing of the Treaty of Cordoba. Mexico gains independence from Spain.) and then Spain return it to the Aztecs if any ancestors can be tracked down, they were after all pretty much wiped out.
When will it stop

I don't know enough about him to comment one way or another. He's a leader that's for sure, just don't know which way he would lead (liberal / moderate / conservative).

Im really not that impressed with Condi. Im republican, but Im not sure she has been all that great as Sec of State. I guess she is alot like bush when it comes to public speaking she isn't the best at it, and thats certainly not high on my list for great qualities, but it sure helps when you want the message to get across. I don't know just a gut feeling I have

Where have you seen her speak that has given you the impression she is a bad speaker?

I haven't seen her too many times, but from what I have seen I think she is an eloquent speaker.
