Yeah tell me about it If my brother hadn't freaked me out so much I would have gone, because it wasn't long after that I got my first stitches......in my noggin! (I fell off the roof of the garage)

Hey in '84 we didn't have PS2 so I was out "runnin' wild" as granny used to say

Where were you when they stopped you?

Campbell Ave between Lawrence Expressway and Winchester. I just got my mom into Kaiser @ 3am with heart pain, she is 81 years young.

It was funny because the licanse plate really is not obscured. He also mentioned window tint, I never heard about that also. This is how I got the truck.

I found this at the DMV V.C. Section 5201 - Positioning of Plates and V.C. Section 5201.1 - Obscuring Readability of License Plates: Prohibitiond

It doesn't suggest removing the ball.

Tinted front windows have been illegal in CA for a long time. That being said, this is my 4th vehicle with tinted fronts and I have not been harassed yet.

I take mine off when not in use because it is a shin basher and it is not locked and too easy for a dirty thief to steal.

I had one stolen last year, so mine has a lock on it now

In Edmond Ok, the police have started cracking down on tinted windows. Its a $250 fine if you get caught

I think the fines are $250 and $250 so if a judge went with the sheriff it could have been $500. Glad I talked him out of it. The tint is on the side windows, not on the windshield. I got a phone number at Napa for a tint installer. I may call them in the morning. I got one of those three removable balls on a pin (mount) and just have the pin installed. I would rather fall on the ball than the pin. Silly World.

Yeah it's all relative to WHAT your driving. Since I bought my first truck I have not been pulled over (except for not having a license plate on my concrete pump)
It seems as if trucks just look slow, because there have been plenty of times I was burnin' up the highway and the CHP didn't look twice at me
