Speculators

Alright, I want to know who in the hell these people are:
Bloomberg.com: Worldwide

From what I have read it's the speculators driving up the oil prices, and now it's the speculators driving down the dollar. At what point do they get shut down???

On Wall St. if the DOW drops too far, too fast trading is stopped. Are there no measures to prevent these aholes from doing more damage to us / our economy?

I realize the economy's problems are multi-dimensional but these jacka$$es aren't helping at all.

Just venting.
Craig

If congress we're to lift the moratorium on drilling in this country, Oil prices would drop like a rock. Money would stay in the United states which would strengthen the doller. A country needs to produce more than it consums or it will go broke. The speculators know this, selling dollers to buy oil. Increase supply of oil in relation to demand, the whole thing unwinds! Won't happen though, even McCain is against drilling!!

It still is the greatest country. Every country has economic trouble every now and then.

Economist/Speculators live around the world. So it doesn't matter where you live they are going to be there. Plus they speculate on issues around the world from their own perspective.

I agree with you Craig, these people have been a part of the problem for a very long time. Everyone seems to hang on every word they have to say and take it as gospel.

If they would just shut up, maybe we could turn the economy around.

Congress will have hearings on whether Roger Clements ever took steroids, but they will never touch the issues that are really a concern to the citizens. I could care less what kind of drugs he was or is doing, I do care about my fuel costing $4.20 a gallon and oil companies turning record profits every quarter.
