maryland RAIN TAX??? what a joke

I just heard about this storm water management fee aka rain tax that a number of counties in maryland are gonna start enforcing in july and it just blows my mind.Im not sure if this is going on elsewhere but i find it just ridiculous that people are gonna be taxed by the square footage of non absorbent surfaces they own/how much rainfall they get during the year.ofcourse its driven by the one and only EPA.If they can get away with that Im thinkin we should start pushing for us getting tax credits for every blade of grass and tree converting carbon dioxide to oxygen that we have on our property and call it the purification of air tax credit.I mean damn this is just down right silly Isnt it? what do you guys think?

Saw it a few days ago. This government has gotten ridiculous. No one wants any of this ****. The only thing the government should be for is the provision of services (police fire and EMS), a military, and maintain infrastructure. What the hell do we need anything else for? If I lived in one of these taxable areas I would tell them to shove it up their ***.

yep the bleeding hearts are back at it again claiming the pesticides and oil/grease/fuel and whatever else on out property surfaces are draining into the bay and killing all the fish and contaminating the water supply.Sounds like another money grab to me.I say make it a voluntary fee,if you feel its a big deal then you can pay the fee.if you dont well then dont pay.Ofcourse its only gonna affect the middle class, poor wont have to pay it and the rich will easily shrug it off.crushing the middle class little by little,I hope other states dont start picking this bs up.

Look at the political leadership of the "Free State" (what a joke that motto is) these days. They raise taxes and still spend more than they take in -- then they further erode the Second Amendment while simultaneously repealing capital punishment! Definitely a WTF moment and showing how good VA looks in comparison (even though we have plenty of progressives trying to ruin our state).

The ONLY good thing about MD is that your state does have very good roads - much better than PA or VA.

That's no bueno. Not surprised tho considering it's the "Peoples Republic of Maryland" as I call it especially after their "Progressive" gun legislation
