Don't know how many of y'all saw where the city of berkely ca. (lower case on purpose) voted last week to boot the Marines out of the city.

Guess they had second thoughts:

I don't care if they have changed their minds. I say that their federal funding should still be yanked and given to the Marines or other military org. This should happen for the next 10 years. Overkill? Maybe, but I personally believe it would drive home the point not to jack with the Armed Forces or their members , if you do you pay a heavy price.

You want your city council to impeach / arrest Bush, Clinton, Cheney, Gore, (throw your politician of choice in here) that's fine, look stupid doing that. But DON'T YOU DARE carry that over to the man or woman who puts their lives on the line so you can spout whatever Anti-American hating crap you want.

You got a beef the the elected leaders, keep it there. Leave the military member alone. A simple "Thank you very much" will suffice.

how do these people think they got the freedom of speech. Some one had to stand up and fight for it!!! If it wasn't for the men and women in the armed forces they would never be allowed to do it. IMHO the people that are/have been in do not get the respect or taken care of like they should. I could rant on more about this but I think you all probably feel the same way I do.
