I know i was kinda tuff on the Dems. Tonite when Not so busy I'll pick on some of the Republicans. I understand what you are saying about stereotyps. It seems people start cheering their Party (or team) instead of educating themselves on the issues. I catch pundits on TV support something said by their party member, and its obvious they don't believe what they are saying, but they say it anyways to support their team ( Party).

This is the only statement that I will respond to not because I agree or disagree with the other parts but because of the fact that I am in the Military my choices are more personal. As far as that statement all that needs to be said is what countries does that paticular piece of property sit between and what are their stances on state sponsored terror. can we all say foothold.

Abortion and gay marriage is all you have to say at sign up to turn me off.

I dont really have a warm fuzzy feeling for any of the current candidates right now, democrat or republican. The only one I would ask over for dinner would be Huckabee, and not likely he will get the knod. One thing that I am sure of. It scares the heck out of me that the Clintons may be back in office. There isnt a more UN-trustworthy candidate that comes to mind. Supposedly (and this is just here say) Barack Obamas step father is a Muslim extremist. Mitt Romney...well heck I've never met a MITT before. I think his hair is plastic. McCane is almost dead already, and may aswell be a democrat. SO what do you do? Pack up and move to Australia? I'm voting for STUMP!

I am a 26 year old male, college graduate (first ever in a family of farmers and factory workers).

I have a degree in social studies education with a minor in political science but I'm not a teacher, I work in a government office.

I was raised Catholic but I don't regularly attend mass, however I believe in God and intend to bring my children up in the Catholic Church as well.

I have been a gun owner since age 22 and a licensed hunter since the age of 10. All of my guns are registered and I don't have a problem with that.

My father is a member of a labor union (Teamsters), and I feel that without labor unions people would not be able to earn a living wage or be able to work safely.

Other than the gun owner part, you have been in democrat training your whole life. You didnt even have a choice lol. So be good at it. Dont take offense...I'm only stating the obvious...stereotype...

Heck I was born in to a dem. family, in a dem. county of a traditionally de m. state... and I consider myself a republican. Badfish I don't care what you label yourself as, I agree with better than 90% of what you said. With exception of gay marriage, I could care less if a state wants to grant "civil unions" so they can take advantage of any tax breaks and make medical decisions for their partner during life/death problems, or things of that nature. But I believe marriage is NOT a state or federal institution, and should not be regulated as such. Marriage is a covenant between a man, a woman, and God himself... I have no problem with what ever 2 men or 2 women want to do in the privacy of their own home, just so long as they don't attempt to force their values on me or try to make me even accept them. What they do is between them and God. That being said, you and I think very similar. I would consider you a very conservative democrat, and you don't find to many of those is my neck of the woods.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, but her father was a staunch Republican. One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to high taxes and welfare programs.

He stopped her and asked her, "How are you doing in school?"

She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA, but it was really tough. She had to study all the time and ever had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because she was spending all her time studying. On top of that, the part-time job her father insisted she keep left absolutely no time for anything else.

He asked, "How is your friend Mary?"

She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, didn't have a job, and went to all the parties. She was always complaining about not having any money, but didn't want to work. Why, she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.

Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and request that 1.0 be taken off her 4.0 and given it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a respectable 3.0 GPA. Then, she could also give her friend half the money she'd earned from her job so that her friend would no longer be broke.

The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair. I worked really hard for my grades and money, and Mary just loafs. Why should her laziness and irresponsibility be rewarded with half of what I've worked for?"

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

I am registered in a party only because I have to be to be able to vote. I believe the constitution is NOT open to interpretation it says what it says. I believe I should be able to own as many guns as I would like registered or unregistered. I am a PROUD member of my local union. I am already taxed to much. I did not vote for john kerry 4 years ago and I will not vote for clintion this time. I vote for who I think is the best person for the job, the one who I think will look out for my interests, regardless of party affiliation. George Washington didn't think political party's where I good idea then and I think he is right now, he said they would divide the country, and its has certainly divided D.C.

i agree with what you said. i consider my self republican but im not a full out conservative. i think i dont really judge buy what party they wanna beleive or follow. i judge on what ther're beleifs are. i mean i may disagree with him he may disagree with me im not gonna fight about it its just what i beleive in based on my knowlege. ill tell you this though. illegal immigrants, i dont have a problem with the ones that wanna come over here and may a good living possibly to send money to their family. but in just the last year there has been six police officers killer by an illegal immigrant mostly from a routine traffic stop. get this 3 of the shootings. the immigrants had already been deported. now if a family member or freind died because of this situation i would be on the border pickin them off my self as they crossed cuz thats not right. i no its a little of topic but i had to get it out of me. dont judge me its just my opinion/ beleif.
