Why just for once dont they give the guy who is the least drain on the federal treasury a bigger break?? Why should i always pay more taxes than a guy with children when i require less tax money put into things to support just myself?
they do thsat to encourage people to have more kidds and raise more future tax payers.

why does a guy that owns a house get to write his mortgage payment off of his taxes and I pay the same as him for rent but dont get nothing back? its not a perfect system. obviously.

Just think where there getting this money from? Is it from other area funds that we might need, and NOTHING is free, so with that being said how are they (government) going to get that money back? Just something to think about.

I think the federal government is trying to get people to have more kids. You know, broaden the tax base....

Edit:: Oh phooey, someone beat me to it.

This is my thought exactly. $1800 is nothing to sneeze at, but I can think of more than one place I think our country could use $150 BILLION.

The smaller rebates a few years ago pushed the economy to alltime highs....and if the economy goes into a full recession then that 150 billion will be lost ten times over......this is math that has been proven before. Give poeple money and you will raise more taxes because of it AND bolster the economy.....

None for me please

I'm probably gonna end up with nothing back and still owe a little. It's pretty bad considering how much I put in but hopefully this will be the last year for me getting nothing. Had a bad couple of years and finally getting it squared out. Enjoy guys!

My wife and I are guilty of putting in waaaaay more than we need, so we always get a FAT check back. I know it's not the most efficient use of our money, but that check sure is nice...

Especially since we don't have an escrow account on our house and pay real estate taxes lump sum.
