Proud to be an "American"
![]() They say that one person can make a difference. The other day I was filling out some forms. I came to the section that wanted to know my race. As I was looking over the choices I started thinking. There were selections to be checked for all types of people. I am not upset that they have that option. What bothered me, was that I didn't have the chance to select a heritage only "white". So I decided to check the "Other" box and write "American" on the line behind it. I have since talked to people in Human Resources and they say that it is legal to do this. I would like to see if we can't start more people doing this. Perhaps then one more thing that our men and women are fighting for will change in our country. If you agree with my thoughts please pass them on, reply to my post and let's get "American" listed as a race. God Bless, Skip ![]() __________________ |

That's a great idea. I'll have to try that.
