The only thing gun control will do is stop honest people from getting guns

Gun control = using both hands.

Funny, baseball bats kill more than guns each year, I don't see anyone screaming that we should ban those.

11 people are killed,(On average) driving and using a cell phone EVERY DAY, when are we going to ban those.

And to think, the items mentioned above, people buy these for their kids and allow them to carry them to school.......

I've heard the anti- gun crowd saying that the 2nd Amendment is out dated because when it was written we used muskets, well, we also only rode horses, so I guess the next time your unarmed house is being broken into, we'll send a cop on horseback with a musket.......

Remember, when seconds count, the police, on average, are only 20 minutes away...

Summed up the whole argument in one sentence. The people who use guns to kill will get their hands on them illegal or not.

It's not about "sporting purposes", either. Google a bit about how many people were killed by their own governments in say, the 20th century. The government only had muskets when the bill of rights was drafted, too.

I hope to god that congress and the American people put up a massive fight against this new ban. The people who think its all about those "evil black weapons" are sadly mistaken, they will go after shotguns and pistols as well. If this passes we will be reduced to revolvers and bolt guns in the near future. This is an attack on OUR 2nd amendment, i'd encourage everyone to send letters and sign as many petitions as they can. Most may think its an uphill/losing battle, but remember folks, there is strength in numbers!
