During the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, TheBlaze took to Time Warner Cable Arena to speak with delegates about the most pressing issues of our time. Most of those interviewed were good sports, answering questions about the trajectory of the country under Obama, the Affordable Care Act and even Socialism.

One of our conversations took an unexpected turn, however, when we asked New York delegate Julia Rodriguez about her views on the direction of the country. Rodriguez promptly shouted that she would, in fact, like to “kill” Mitt Romney.

“Romney will destroy this country completely” she repeated angrily. Then, Rodriguez grabbed the microphone and emotionally screamed “If I see him” referring to Romney “I would like to kill him!”

There would be chants of racism, and calling for the beheading of whoever said it........

Major double standard in this country. Highest paid female entertainer...Oprah...black. Highest paid athletes...black. Bush had an extremely diverse administration...more than Clinton's....but GOP is still racist.

6.0...That's exactly right. I was showing that the GOP can't win because racism is owned by the dems. Look at Al Sharpton....major racist. It's just amazing. Allen West is a true American patriot in my mind...but in the minds of 98% of Black America...he's not a True African American. Whatever.

So, Oprah works her azz off for decades to be the successful woman she is, and you feel it necessary to be critical of her skin color? Should she be prevented from accumulating wealth in America because she is non-white?

Highest paid athletes? I'm not going to dig around for the exact stats, but can assure you that black athletes are not the only ones being paid well. Alex Rodriguez, of Dominican decent, makes a cool $29MM salary and he's not black. The two highest paid NFL players - Drew Brees and Paycheck Manning. What difference does it matter what color an individual's skin color is when it comes to professional sports? When you think about it, most of them are playing for rich, white owners.

Do any of these aforementioned facts above make sense, or do want to continue to make baseless claims to support a weak argument?

Jeffc...I am pointing out that opportunity in this country is for everyone...yet the democrat party still thinks we're a bunch of racists....which is a bunch of crap. I am glad Oprah makes billions...and I believe she should keep more of her money and spend more of her money as she sees fit. However, democrats think:
A.) The government is entitled to more of her money.
B.) This is a racist country and that the GOP party houses a majority of them.

I don't know what you're trying to get at....maybe you misread what I am getting at....

Being called racist has nothing to do with the amount of cabinet members of color or ethnicity a President has, and your party affiliation to said President. Its another ridiculous way to make a stupid point about nothing. What is racist about the GOP? Funding and promoting the distribution of a video the calls the President's dead mother an interracial *****.

Have you ever been a direct victim of racism, reverse racism? Surprisingly, I have been. For a brief moment in time, I was able to realize what it actually means to be minimized and characterized by something as trivial as the amount of melanin in my skin - without, of course, the centuries of abuse, murder, slavery and lack of inalienable human rights ingrained into my genetic makeup.

The GOP is represented by people who think raped women should be forced to give birth, simply because THEIR own religious beliefs say so. There are members of the GOP party in Congress that think the world is still only 9,000 years old, despite the massive fossil record and carbon dating evidence to prove otherwise. One would think that "party" evolution should be a primary concern of the GOP moving. Then again, when those beliefs mirror the beliefs of the people that vote them into office, why ruin a good thing?

Your post was taken at face value. If you do not like being misunderstood, represent your opinion in better detail. The old black and white argument has become frivolous at best these days. The last census stated that more than half of all new births in this country are non-white. Guess what that means?
