Why are governments so short lived? What destroys civilizations?
So many nations rise and fall throughout history. None have really withstood the test of time. Why is that? What is missing? How do we correct the defects of previous failures. It appears we are failing in the same manner as Rome. So what is missing?

Education imo, more accurate history classes. The history books in this country are lacking info and are bias.
If you understand history you can better understand the future and why. Sent from my DROIDX using AutoGuide.Com Free App |

People are people. There will always be someone out there that is willing to sacrifice the security of a nation to gain power.

i would say acceptance rather than tolerance......forced acceptance (via legislative/judicial manipulation) in particular...tolerance is built into the constitution.

With the exception on a individual basis, would you say that steady decline permeates every aspect of our society? |
