State of the Union

So what are everyone's thoughts tonight who are watching the President's speech...

Personally I like almost all of what I've heard coming out of his mouth so far.... I only have one question.

How can we pay for all of this without adding to the deficit and start paying down the debt at the same time? To me it's just that simple... Nothing else matters as much as getting our country's finances in order. Got to have a solid foundation before you can build on it. Otherwise all this "progress" will fold like a house of cards eventually.

What say you all...

You are exactly correct. We will pay for all of this by using deficit financing. The key to all of this is the Federal Reserve System. The system allows us to just print money to pay for all of this and this is exactly what they want to do. The politicians and government keep telling us that everything is getting better, when in fact it is getting worse. Governments will not admit to a failing currency and hyperinflation until the moment it happens. Keep confidence in the currency until you can no longer do so. I personally think this is going to come to a head with Iran. As soon as we attack them China is going to dump our currency and watch the US crumble.

We need a sound currency. We need to stop spending money on everything. CUT SPENDING.

we can't afford another war right now. my support goes out to all troops if that happens, but i hope it doesn't.

a lot of people are still unhappy with bush's foreign policy, and his free spending with the bailouts, and patriot act which tramples the constitution. all policy's continued, and expanded by obama.

not liking much from gingrich either. he never seems to wanna answer questions lately. it's always a spin.
