I believe with all that has been said as far as comments, however the sad fact is the “The Good Ole Days of the United States of America are gone!”
We have elected, and sat on the sidelines neglecting “OUR” duties as citizens for the past 35-40 years. What has started as a slow movement towards Socialism has now gained momentum, and only now does there seem to be an awakening to the public that something must be done. The Government should be for the people not against the people.
Thomas Jefferson has many quotes, and if you Google them they will surprise you. A few that stick in my mind…
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
“The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.”
“The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits.”
“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?”
“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all.”
And the one that really hits home right now!!!
“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
However if you think about it, he was right on the money.
Now you have an influx of illegal immigrants that have flooded our country and people are catering to them! Rights, Benefits, the Right to VOTE????? The truth is it’s gone too far. Till AMERICAN CITIZENS no matter what color nor creed… but AMERICANS stand up nothing will be done. Many think that I am crazy, but look at the middle east. Country’s rioting for Democracy. It will come into a revolution to save this great country… not one fought by stating your feelings on blogs, chat groups, or protesting on the steps of the court house. I mean revolution, when we as citizens utilize our “Right to Bear Arms” and stand up and take action. The Government wants to render us powerless against them but creating the illusion that we have to have them… i.e. free healthcare, and all other forms of hand outs. Slowly the government is sliding the noose over our necks. It will take a bloody revolution to take this country back, I don’t really see anyway other than that. The slow Pu$$ification of our society has only played to the governments strength in keeping us obedient slaves.
Look back on history, it repeats itself. Look at the falling of other great nations, countries etc. Wake up people this isn’t just going to go away.
I'm not from Texas, but I got here fast as I could!
