This reminded me of a radio interview conducted about 12 years ago somewhere in ohio where a retired 1 star general was orchestrating Ohio's BSA summer camp. The reporter (female) goes on to ask the general what skills the parents can expect their boy scout to return home with.

General: Well on top of orienteering, swimming, and hiking, we will be taking advantage of a known distance (KD) range to train the young men weapons safety and marksmanship.

Reporter: Wait a minute general. In this day an age where gun violance is at an all time high, you're telling me that you will be teaching these young boys the finer art of marksmanship thus potentially providing them the skills to become violent criminals?

General: Well ma'am, we're emphasizing the importance of gun safety and will stress the fact that these are dangerous items and need to be treated as such. Proper marksmanship plays an important part of exercising weapons safety which is why we're teaching this.

Reporter: But general, these boys will leave your summer camp with all the tools required to become cold blooded killers along with the skills necessary to become a trained sniper and you're telling me this is all in the name of safety?

General: Well ma'am, by the looks of things, you possess all the necessary tools to be a street dwelling prostitute but that doesn't necessarily make you one, now does it?

She had no further questions.
