Dear Mr. President
Dear Mr. President,
Tomorrow when I wake up and don't have a paycheck I do not want you to worry. I will still put on my uniform and defend the United States, I will still defend the Constitution, I will still defend all the people who have no idea I even exist all across America... my country. A country which I hold dear to my heart. I will still deploy to places which most people only hear about on the news, and defend the rights of people who have never had rights before from misguided individuals who prey on the weak. But make no mistake; I don't do this for you. I don't do this for the politicians that see me as nothing more than an ignorant pawn piece in their political power struggle. I don't do this for God. I don't do this for Power. And it should have been abundantly clear that I don't do this for the Money.
I do this because I stand for the right; I stand for the forces of good that will not go quietly into the night even as we watch our country sink into poverty and unemployment. The forces that will stand and be true for what we do believe in. So I, and others like me, will continue on because we believe in Freedom, in Democracy… we believe in America sir. You might not completely understand of that which I am speaking. There is no one written doctrine for which I and people like me follow. It’s in our Blood… In our Soul. You can find pieces of that which I speak here and there, for they are not hard to find. So let me give you a clue as to where you can find this truth of which I speak; it begins with three little words…
We The People…
