Thanks for lying through your teeth about the shape this great state is in to get re-elected. 27 billion in the hole and now cutting education of all things. Getting rid of special-ed programs and cramming 30+ students in on a single teacher. Texas has always had one of the best education programs in the country and now we can join Mississippi. Junior colleges are next on his list of things to axe. You can't blame the Dems down here since it has been 15-16 years since a Dem has held a state wide office. Now I see why this douche would'nt show up at a debate. At least the good folks of his home county saw through him years ago. The only votes he gets there are from his parents since most of his family has been run out of the county.

The education short falls in Texas are becoming more real to me every day. I'll be graduating in two years with my teachers cert and a degree in history....I did some searching on school districts I'd like to work for....almost every district I looked at had "hiring freezes" in place.

The only district I could find in Texas still hiring was Dallas ISD.

Unless something happens this legislative session, I don't know what I'll do after graduation. Not much you can do with a teachers cert....except teach
