SOTU discussion
Obama to Proclaim Now is the Nation's Sputnik Moment - FoxNews.com
I guarantee it will be Obama calling for "green" jobs again He's got a new friend from GE as an adviser, so it only makes sense.Apparently Spaniards losing 4 jobs (or 3 depends on whose statistics) for creating every single green job is a great model to follow ![]() Why don't the Dems get it already? Gov't can never create any significant number of jobs besides bureaucrats. Gov't can only take away jobs. The private sector, specifically small business create the VAST MAJORITY of jobs in this nation and if Obama and his fiends really do want to help, then they'll roll back regulations en masse. Here's more of the speech http://www.nationaljournal.com/white...nged--20110125 |

Gubmint and How Gubmint Works
Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night." So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job. Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions and one person to do time studies. Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people, one to do the studies and one to write the reports. Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So they created two positions, a time keeper and a payroll officer, then hired two people. Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, an Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary. Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one year, and we are $918,000 over budget. We must cut back." So they laid off the night watchman. So scary, but oh so true. |

Beck had a good take on it this morning
Beck: Didn’t we spend on infrastructure in stimulus? | The Right Scoop |
|

Normally I like Beck. But he lost that one the minute he mentioned bullet trains.
Stimulus money was to go to building an entirely new track system for them. Still a complete ****ing waste of time though |
