Fed officials call gun laws "weak"

U.S.: Gun raids show cartels at work in Ariz. - U.S. news - Crime & courts - msnbc.com

Well we started to see it following the Tucson incident and it was a matter of time before we started seeing them going after assault weapons.

Letting no crisis go to waste...

Our federal officials are weak spineless good for nothing scumbags.

They will take full advantage of any momentum they can gain from the tragedy in Tucson to adopt more restrictive gun laws. Unless they come up with a law that would have prevented the Tucson shooting, it will be pure hypocrisy.

I was thinking more along the lines of when a psychopath picks up a gun, the first thing he should do is put it in his mouth and eat lead.

Weak?

There are no weak "gun laws" - only weak enforcement of existing laws, and weak application of the death penalty where it is warranted!

I feel a background check for every gun purchase is a fair and justified way to obtain a gun. Anything past that is just crazy.

Thank God I live in Texas....I can walk into a gun store and be out with a rifle in ten minutes flat

I can't do it quite that quick in TN, but darn near close. I picked up an AR, in and out in less than 30

Honestly,if some one wants to get a gun for what ever, they can get it,legally or through the black market-either way,no matter what laws could come of this, only the honest people will have their's taken away, and the illegal ones will still be out there still committing crimes.

So why disarm honest people, who may be able to protect themselves or some one else?

If guns are outlawed---only outlaws will have guns-period.

Maybe if the feds would go after the cartels, we've all heard the stories of people being escorted across the border with automatic weapons, yet the authorities are too busy chasing Willie Nelson.......
