It is a MAGAZINE - not a clip, you idiots!!

If I hear "high capacity clip" one more time, I think I will throw up! The 9mm pistol used in the Arizona shooting (as do most other semi-autos) uses a MAGAZINE, and not a clip.

We have politicians and 'media experts' who keep referring to a 9mm pistol as an "assault weapon" or an "automatic" that can spray bullets into a crowd. Gadzooks!


CNN and NBC have both been guilty of this ballistic mistake, but especially so in the days since the Arizona tragedy. FOX News had some folks who got it right at least a few times, though.

Get some people who actually understand the mechanics of a firearm and which end of the tube the round comes out of when it is fired. Sheesh!

The media has been screwing up those two very simple terms for years...

Magazine is referred to as a clip.

Semi automatic rifles and pistols are referred to as automatics.

The point is people still know what you're talking about. I use clip/mag interchangeable with each other, and whoever I'm talking to knows exactly what I'm talking about. Now calling a handgun an assault weapon....that's another thing

i just bring my mg42 when dont want to worry about carrying high capacity magazines with me.
