Rep. Smith,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Texas Speaker's race, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

First of all, I must say your deceptive response is no different than the response I received from Mayor Bill White's office when I called upon them to remove a TV commercial portraying him as a conservative. LOL! All bait and switch…You Sir MUST do as the majority of your electorate wants, not as you see fit.

What you wrote in your letter may seem true to you, however, that is through jaded eyes that have become corrupted with your tenure in Austin. If you ignore this request, then you will leave us no other choice but to make certain you return to "private life".

Did you not get the message sent by the voters in November? I am an adult and small business owner and don't need you sending a condescending letter telling me "you know what's best for me"!

How is it that so many people can be so wrong and just a handful of politicians can be so right? The voters of Texas spoke and elected a majority of Republicans to office in November and Joe Straus had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Another thing, the “Rainy Day Fund” is really non-existent and we will see this within the next two years, our State is in financial trouble and if you choose to ignore this, then that’s just one more reason to send you home.

I’m certain that Ken Paxton will be actively involved in fighting Washington’s attempt to trample State’s rights. And I’m certain he will join Greg Abbott in defense of Arizona’s right to enforce federal immigration laws as well as challenging the constitutionality of President Obama’s healthcare bill. So those arguments are mute points. Those are your opinions and you're entitled to them...but, you are not entitled to your own facts.

My scumbags won't even do that-mine have ultimate DEAF ears and incredible aim at a trash can,seems like-and their recycle bin is probably overloaded as well from emails too.

But my state should be renamed as Libtown,USA
