Instead of destroying the guns, why don't they arm the citizens? Oh wait, it's one of the most corrupt nations in this hemisphere, with many gov't officials and police in league with the drug cartels...

Let's just take over Mexico, send our troops in and destroy the cartels and get the money back that they made selling drugs in the US.

Then we'll fix up Mexico and flip it, of course we'll have to send down some painters and landscapers because they're all up here.........

Of course the other way to look t it, at least people from Mexico are spending money in the US.

Actually, this is all a red herring. Figures I saw was about 10-15% of the guns used by the mex criminals come from the US.

Most of the guns used by the mexican druggies come from central and south american military bases, where the right amount of cash to an underpaid quartermaster can get you neat stuff like full auto M4's and AK's, grenades, RPG's, etc...

The 'american guns' thing is just an excuse to justify gun control. Highly distorted figures.
