How about they cut their own pay first? Oh wait we are a drain on the federal government.

“A three-year freeze at 2011 levels for these compensation categories would save the federal government $7.6 billion in compensation and tax expenditures, as well as another $1.6 billion in less retirement accrual, or $9.2 billion total discretionary savings in 2015,” it said.

You know we do such an easy job for 20 years to warrant that retirement.

Yall put your lives on the line and the best thing our goverment can think to do is to cut your pay? Its not like yall are earning what your worth as it is anyway.

Certainly not gonna help get many new recruits with the knowledge this could happen...

hey bro any body could do this job,thats why they needed waivers for people and had to up the age limit during the war.....we are worthless.they only paid about a half mil in my training but ya know i would get paid three times what i do now in the civilian world.but yet here i am serving those who take away.i gave up my freedoms and became a piece of property for those who wouldnt to enjoy their freedoms.id gladly do it again.but they never pay the ones that give what they deserve.from cops to firefighters to emts to teachers to servicemen,we all get crappy pay.they know that as long as america is great that people like you and me will gladly give up our rights for the rights of other...and that is all we want,we dont do it for the pay.although a better life for our loved ones would be nice.

I can't keep the young kids in the Navy in my rate right now because of what our training is worth. Now some dumbazz suit comes up with a plan to freeze our pay. Oh yeah that will fix manning problems.

This is BULL!!!! the pay rais this year is already the lowest since 1978!!! A ton of people are already getting out cause of the way things are run and now thhey are taking away more money.......... there is almost no benefits to being military anymore!

Blah blah blah..... All I hear is a bunch of whiners cause your not getting a little extra cash! OK now that your ready to kill me I'm just kidding my dad served in the Navy and I have a ton of respect for anyone who chooses to serve our country, and it's sad that the way they see to save money is by doing this! I guarantee you could take any of the people who think it's ok to freeze the pay and they wouldn't last a day in the shoes of someone brave enough to stand for our country!
