He's someone I love to hate, and he spews crap every day of the week, but as I understand it he got canned because he gave $ to a 3 Democratic candidates. BFD. I think he should have the right to support whoever he wants to support. It's a free country, sorta. The idea he needs to maintain some guise of impartiality as a journalist is stupid; he's _obviously_ not a neutral journalist! He got Juan Williamsed IMHO.

Hate to do this, but... Keith was suspended without pay bacause MSNBC is a NEWS organization that has a published rule against political contributions so that they can reduce any apearence of a conflict of interest (CLEARLY Keith is of a liberal bent and I would not agree with him on many issues). Keith's real sin was failing to get permission from management (a requirement written into the rule). Hopefully, he won't be permenently canned (some of his stuff really belongs on Comedy Central ) over this (come ON $7200 in contributiuons; not much of a drop in the bucket).

NOW, does FOX have anything like that rule to presurve at least the appearence of journalistic entegrity? Uhhh... NO! Fox "NEWS" personalities regularly raise money on FOX air time, contribute directly to campagns, and host fund raising events. Do you really think they are reporting anything LIKE a true and balanced picture of what's actually happing? I guess the daily cost of Obama's trip to the Far East really IS more than the daily cost of the entire Afgan war!

Keith's not perfect, entertaining maybe, but not purfect; still despite HIS bias, he's more balanced and accurate than what's coming out of FOX, Rush, etal...

Don't get me wrong, I beleive gun control means using both hands, people should to WORK for a living, and if you make your bed you should sleep in it, BUT the debate on the right has not only gotten mean spirited, its becoming untruthful, and THAT scares the $H!T out of me!

Keith knew the rules-he was an employee,he chose not to follow them.
It's no different from where any of us work-we know the rules.
As far as MSLSD being credible-way far from it,I have never seen more twisted stories come from the liberal Obama-run media-I watch them all and can clearly see the difference-it's no contest on lies.

Annita Dunn (Obama's first media watchdog who left because she couldn't keep her mouth shut) clearly stated that they controlled everything the media said and printed DURING Obama's campaign,and to date until she got the axe!

As far as the right being mean spirited,perhaps you are unaware of how the left has been underhanding in trashing of republican candidate's character,the tea party,etc.
The Left will do what ever to get what they want-which means they will turn the tables,reverse the story,and flat out lie to get what they want-period.
They have no shame with trying to win and keep power-but don't think for a second they give a **it about you or anyone else.

Not to mention anyone who objects his policies is a Nazi, racist or fear monger because people don't want Socialism.

All this is clearly obvious from the elections.

Sorry brother, but IMHO saying Keith is more fair and balanced than FOX is like saying NPR is fair and balanced. You may not like FOX, but I can remember far enough back in Bush Days, when FOX would report a few things against sitting Republicans too, not just the Democrats. Now a days you would be hard pressed to find NPR or MSNBC reporting against a democrat in office unless the guy has committed some HUGE wrong-doing that had already been carried by all the other major networks.

And you would be wrong. Fox's reporters fall under the same type of contract.

The owners of the company however do not. Nor do a few of their commentators.

Well, On reflection... I should probably stay away from the keyboard after my 2nd beer.

I will say that I personally have always done better economically during Democratic administrations. I took it in the neck durring the Reagan years, I was working in a restront and going to school; my taxes went up and my hourly rate stayed flatter than it would have been (a $0.10 increase in the minimum wage did me out of a $0.25 performance increase <GRUMBLE> ). I will say that the Reagan Federal job cuts set up the conditions that have kept me employed for the past 21 years. Yea, he cut the workforce, that didn't mean all that WORK just went away, so they had to hire contractors at twice the cost to do it. As a tax payer it tics me off. As an employee and stock holder of a major Ferderal contracting company... Not so much (Holy law of unintended consequenses Batman!). Anyway, I'll continue to hold opinions that annoy both ends of the political spectrum and vote my wallet every time.

That's all I'm going to say about politics, that was my Dad's thing anyway, I'll just stick to tech from here on.
