Question:

This'll be my first time to vote too.

I'm registered in my home county but I'm going to school in a different county.

Do i have to drive home to vote or as long as I'm registered i can vote anywhere in Texas?

Not too sure about that, it has been awhile since I have voted in Texas, I am pretty sure you can get a mail in ballot or something.

In Alabama, you have to vote in the county you are registered in.
